Team Kano at the ongoing National Sports Festival, NSF Wednesday afternoon mounted the prestigious gold medal log at the fiesta.
Our correspondent reports that jubilation rocked Team Kano camp, when the state 7 Aside Rugby team defeated Team Plateau with a wide margin of 24 goals to 5 to capture gold .
The coach Umar Bau tutored boys had earlier defeated arch rivals , Team Delta 26 goals against 7 to berth their last game against Team Plateau.
Team Kano is now positioned to move upward in the medals table at the games.
