The painful torments by which Borno state–the once known home of peace before its grotesque alteration to a no better expression but that of “terrorism” is being continuously exposed to by the evil folk of Boko Haram. This is something we should not relent to seek the intervention of the divine Providence for its full cessation.

Since its evolution, Boko Haram is known to designate despicably blameworthy attributes upon the stature and reputation of our dear Nation by afflicting the northeastern segment of the nation.  And, especially the Borno state with fratricidal blood shade, impoverishing our economy as a nation by vandalization of private and public chattels and possessions.

To quench the thirst of their callous acts, the sect made the Borno state one of the most unpleasant places on earth even without the recent annihilation of the electric power supply to the state for 9 consecutive weeks.

In no uncertain terms, the exactly 9 weeks of darkness had catapulted the physical and emotional well-being of the people of Maiduguri to a state of turmoil by an escalation of costs of goods and by ruining the atmosphere for conducive academic endeavors of the students of the University of Maiduguri.

As we are, while waiting for the rectification of the power hitches, it was so unfortunate and heartbroken that we are left in the blues, as those responsible for the remediation had faced the pang fine of the death penalty in the merciless jaw of same Boko Haram.

As it takes patience to reach the new dawn during boring long hours of the night, it is also being said, with every hardship there comes ease.  It is a bounty and a grace from Allah that the power supply is now reconditioned and the whole town is now embellished by a bright beam of light.

Riding to the conclusion, it is so unfortunate that the triumphal restoration of the power supply and jubilation of the masses in regard to that is only short-lived as Boko Haram detonated another explosive device to mar the transmission of power to Maiduguri.
