Jigawa state Government has paid N 1,452,410,454,65 as retirement benefit to seven hundred and ninety three retired Civil servant.
Executive secretary state and local Government Hon.Hashim Ahmad Fagam stated this while briefing news men.
Said the payment is for the first quarter of 2021 fiscal year.
He said the beneficiaries are those that leaved service or died in active service.
Fagam explained that the beneficiaries are from the state government, local government and local education authority.
“A total of 793 workers retired out of which 589 person were paid retirement benefits,144 death benefit,53 death pension balance and Seven person recieved refund of 8% contribution”
“288 workers from state,255 from local Government and 250 workers from local Government education authority”
He commended Governor Badaru for considering the payment of retirees benefits as at when due.
