Former Governor of Governor, Abdulazeez Yari who was addressing journalists at his Talata Mafara Resident in the State said, politicizing security matters will do more harm to the state.
“Security issues of should not be politicized and it must be handled with sincerity and commitment” he said
According to him, security matters are federal government ‘s affair with only logistics supports by state governments, hence their decision at national level to advice President Muhammadu Buhari on the best way to end the menace of all forms of criminal activities in Zamfara state and the country in general.
Abdulazeez Yari also reiterated the need for all hands to be on deck with a view to ending the security challenges.

He said bandits and their collaborators should be brought to book and no stone should be left unturned in curtailing the security.
On the issue of banning Mining activities, Abdulazeez Yari said report had it that, bandits do skip miners and launch attacks on nearby communities which made the issue complicated, noting that, the link between mining and banditry can’t be declared directly except with thorough investigations.
The former Governor urged people of Zamfara State to continue supporting security agents with intelligence and Prayers to succeed in the fight against insecurity bedeviling the state and the country.
