Governor of Jigawa state Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has received his AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at Government House in Dutse.
Governor’s personal physician, administered the vaccine to the Governor today Wednesday at about 1:00 Pm in Government House clinic.
It was reported that Jigawa state Government has recieved 68520 doses of Covid-19 vaccine to be administered to 35,000 people in the state.
Speaking after the vaccination, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar said the Covid-19 vaccine is free and safe.

He explained that the vaccine will be distributed across the 287 primary Health care centers across the state.
“We are going to distribute the vaccine to all the primary Health cares centers in 287 ward that was already been provided with steedy power supply”
Badaru said the Covid-19 vaccine will be administered to healthcare staffs, religious leaders, traditional rulers and security personnel to install confidence among Jigawa citizens.
The Governor, his Deputy and commissioners are among the persons that recieved the vaccine today.
All the governors of Nigeria’s 36 states are expected to lead as an example in their states following the vaccination of President Muhammad Buhari and other top Federal Government officials.
