Kano Assembly Pledges To Improve Agriculture

The Chairman Kano State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture,  Salisu Maje Ahmad Gwangwazo has assured its total support and assistance towards the overall development of Agricultural in the state.

The committee Chairman stated this while exchanging views with the Management of Kano state Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources when the committee paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry.

He maintained that the committee would ensure it put its best towards the upliftment of Agriculture in the state.

Maje  Ahmad gwangwazo also said the committee works hand in hand with the Ministry with a view to achieving good results and urged the management of the Ministry to work hard to ensure success.

On his part the permanent secretary, Alh. Balarabe Hassan Karaye who represent the commissioner of Agricultural also the Deputy Governor of the state, Doctor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna explained that donors partners who are working with the Ministry have been perfectly assisting farmers in the overall development of Agricultural in the state by training farmers and providing them with needed equipment to ensure the carry out their activities effectively.

The permanent secretary also said the Ministry has mapped out plans that will put farmers on the right track on how they can benefit from the government assistant and pledged their support and cooperation to achieved good results.

In their separate remarks, the coordinators of the Appeals project and Kano state Agro pastoral development projects, Malam Hassan Ibrahim and Ibrahim Garba Ahmad spoke at length on the progress recorded during the implementation of their committee’s program and urged committee members to look into their complained with a view of solving them..
