Strike:One Ram Costs One Million Naira In Lagos

As the strike embarked upon by the Amalgamated union of food and cattle dealers of Nigeria entered a week foodstuffs and Animals prices are surging in some southwestern states of Nigeria.

One of the States that was badly hit by the strike is Lagos state,BBC Hausa reports that a single ram now costs one million Naira in Lagos due to the scarcity of the Animals in Alaba Rago market.

Eid-Elkabir: Ram-sellers complain of low patronage.

A turkey that is previously sold at 10 thousand Naira now costs 30 thousand Naira and food stuffs like onions and tomatoes are highly expensive beyond the reach of the common man.

The AUFCDN is yet to call off the strike unless federal government meets their demand among which is payment of compensation to their members which Include Sasa market crisis in Oyo whereby the properties of their members were destroyed state and unaffordable extortion and harassment of on Nigerian highways.

They are currently demanding a compensation of 475 billion Naira from the federal government
