Executive Chairman of Kano state Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, made this assertion while receiving the new Commissioner of Kano Zonal office of Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission on a courtesy visit to his office

The Chairman noted with dismay that, the authority that was saddled with the responsibility of distributing the items to the beneficiaries, was planning to divert it for its selfish interest, assured to work with the state office of ICPC to ensure no single item was diverted for such purpose.

He described the margin of ICPC and public complaints act together, has been described as the wise decision that is propelling Kano Anti-Graft Agency to discharge its duties more effectively

Barrister Muhuyi Magaji added that during previous time, some Lawyers have tried to challenge the Law that establish the Commission to the extent that they even go to the High Court for hearing of the su case.

Mr Muhuyi revealed that the Law that established the Kano Anti-Graft Agency has been carefully crafted to suit the powers duties of the Commission in Kano which led to the huge success been recorded since he assumed office as the chief executive of the Outfit

While congratulating the new Commissioner over his recent posting as head of Kano office of the ICPC, he however urged him to brace up in confronting the series of challenges and problems that may arise during discharge of his duties in the state.

He then solicit on having synergy between the two sister agencies towards checkmating corrupt practices and other related offences across the state.

Earlier, in his remarks, the state Commissioner of ICPC, Barrister Ibrahim Kagara, assured a cordial working relationship with Kano Anti-Corruption Commission with a view to forming a synergy in the fight against Corruption.

In a statement by Nura Ahmad Dakata the chief media consultant of the commission Barrister Kagara, said Corruption was a serious problem in the country that needs a concerted efforts of the sisters agencies and all other stakeholders so as to tackle it more effectively.

He then emphasized that fighting corruption at all ramification was the driving force behind his visit to Kano Anti-Graft Agency.
