I read with dismay in the media a statement credited to the sacked media aide of Kano State Government in the person of Salihu Tanko Yakasai that the All Progressives Congress led- government has failed Nigerians while calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.
It is unfortunate to see such a controversial statement coming from the aide of a governor of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) despite the efforts of the Chairman of APC Extraordinary Convention Committee led by His Excellency Mai Mala Buni.
The statement is uncalled for and smacks of an attempted sabotage of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and it further brings to fore the ignorance of the said aide on how the security architecture works.
Sha’aban Sharada Accuses Ganduje of plot to destabilise APC
Since the abduction of Jangebe Students, I’ve spoken with the relevant security chiefs where they assured me of the efforts they are making to rescue the girls safely.
Instead of Yakasai to exploit his privilege by praying for the successful rescue of the school girls by security men under the directives of President Muhammadu Buhari, he is rather seen ridiculing this efforts through series of unwarranted media attack that’s seen as an attempt to instigate fear on the victim’s parents and misleading on the general public to tarnish the image of the APC led government.
It is not surprising though, he might have been doing this under the command of his principal, governor Abdullahi Ganduje who is known for speaking from the both sides of his mouth.
It is on record that the security situation of the country has improved since the assumption of Buhari as President especially taken into cognisance the nature of the insecurity prior to Buhari administration differed from the current security situation in the country.
If you could recall, there was a time when students of both basics and tertiary institutions cannot go to school without torror searching of their bodies, the market is a no go place, places of worship has become a place to fear when one hour or two hours journey became a ten hours journey due to stop and search by security men on the roads.
Despite all the measures, that does not stop terrorists from bombing mosques, churches, markets, and motor parks etc.
A typical example is 2014 kano central mosque bomb blast that claimed the lives of 1000 people in a day.
That doesn’t stop in North West and North East alone, it goes to the Federal Capital Territory where they attacked the United Nation building in Abuja.
It is on record that the security situation of the country has improved, suffice to say that Kagara Students that were abducted of recent were released last Saturday so also the Jangebe Students is in the offing.
The Kankara Students were also released and there is no Students in captivity. The process that the government followed in seeing the release of these students safely will be applied to see that the Jangebe Students are released Insha Allah as i was in touched with the governor, His Excellency Bello Matawalle.
It’s now vividly clear to us that governor Ganduje is behind Yakasai’s attack on the government and person of my mentor President Muhammadu Buhari which we will no longer accept in the future.
Ganduje has last year suspended Yakasai over a statement accusing the President of lacking in emphaty during the EndSARS protest, it was alleged that the governor plan the suspension like a movie where he promised to reinstate him back.
He was reinstated as promised later and today the governor has sacked the aide. It’s obviously clear that his sack has a political undertone.
It would be recalled that one of his Commissioners has last year celebrated the death of President Buhari’s Chief of Staff Mallam Abba Kyari, the governor in his usual manner of playing to the gallery and after pressure by Nigerians, he decided to sack the Commissioner but was later seen giving him appointment to serve in various government committees including the recent one as Chairman of AKK Gas Pipeline implementation Committee in Kano.
This is how the governor is working closely with people that personally berates President Muhammadu Buhari.
Ganduje’s sabotage does not stop here, he has a good relationship with members of the opposition where he appointed them into juicy positions while other party members are kept aside. Example of this is the Commissioner for water resources who is a card carrying member of PDP
His anti party activities against the All Progressives Congress and other efforts he is making in frustrating party members in the state is an attempt of weakening the party in Kano after sensing that his political ambition in 2023 is not achievable.
A Commissioner for Education in his government was also seen displaying ballot where he voted for PDP in a recent bye election at Kiru/Bebeji Constituency last year.
This is a sabotage to our party at a time we’re trying to reconcile warring party members across states to further strengthen the capacity of the APC in 2023 election.
The recent party registration and revalidation exercise in Kano was not a success as Ganduje is the decider of who should be registered or not as they domiciled the documents of the revalidation in government house.
I’m a victim of this where i was denied revalidation of my APC membership at my ward of Salanta on the orders of the governor and acting chairman of the party despite being a stakeholder and member of the House of Representatives in the state.
Even an ordinary member of the party doesn’t deserve this especially when the party is targeting 25 million members. Why is this injustice being meted on members of the defunct CPC and loyalists of President Buhari?
All the Commissioners down to local government Chairmen, Special advisers and top government appointees, they is none from the defunct CPC.
I’m calling on security agencies to be on alert by dealing with anybody that wants to temper with the peaceful coexistence of our nation.
Reports of the security situation of the country is always on my table. I’m in contact with the relevant security agencies and I’m aware of the efforts they are making to restore the security of our dear nation. It is not everything that will be brought out for public of consumption, some matters of security are very critical, therefore, have to be addressed strategically otherwise it will distract the operation of the security agencies.
Few weeks ago, the President heed to the calls of Nigerians to appoint new service chiefs which he did by appointing officers with good track record of service.
Nigeria is one, we should keep ethnic, religious and political sentiments aside, we should tell the truth in real sense not personal attack.
Our hope and prayer is for a united Nigeria and for President Muhammadu Buhari to succeed as President. His success is for us and his failure is on us.
As a loyalist of the President who has worked closely with him, i know his commitment to seeing a prosperous, peaceful and united Nigeria.
His patriotism of being transparent and accountable is a testimony for his love to this country.
