The Nigeria Union of journalists Zamfara state council says it has received with shock the abduction of over 300 female students by armed bandits at government girls secondary school Jangebe of Talatar Mafara.
In a statement signed by the state chairman comrade, Abdulrzaq Bello Kaura said the NUJ reaffirms its commitment to professional and patriotic reporting of issues towards the attainment of a lasting solution against the menace of banditry.

Comrade Kaura further said the union pledges support and cooperation to Zamfara state and security agencies in an effort to rescue the abducted students.
