<p>In a statement issued by the chairman Abdulrazak Bello Kaira stated as follows.</p>
<p>&#8220;My attention has been drawn to a false, misleading and mischievous press statement signed by the Assistant Secretary of Zamfara Council, Nasiru Shehu Aula purporting that I, Comrade Abdulrazak Bello Kaura, of Radio Nigeria, Pride FM Gusau and Chairman of the Council have been transferred to Royal FM Sokoto.</p>
<p>The said Statement equally claimed that following from above, a meeting of the State Working Committee of the union had mandated the Vice Chairman, Bello Mohammed Boko to act as Chairman pending when a bye election into office of the Chairman will be held.</p><div class="yTxuGM2C" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>Ordinarily, I wouldn&#8217;t have deemed it necessary to dignify the tissue of lies with a response but because of the need to douse the tension already created by the unfounded and baseless statement.</p>

<p>I therefore wish to state categorically that I have neither been transferred out of Zamfara State not abdicated my responsibilities as the constitutionally elected Chairman of the NUJ in Zamfara State.</p>

<p>The purported meeting was illegal, unconstitutional and of no effect. It should therefore be treated as such.</p>
<p>The purported meeting was merely a gathering of people with sole intention to plunge our peaceful council into crises.</p>
<p>Already, those behind this internal insurrection have been reported to the National Secretariat and the full weight of the Union&#8217;s constitution will descend on them accordingly.</p>
<p>I urge our members to remain peaceful and go about their lawful duties, while also asking the general public to disregard anything to the contrary.&#8221; He stated</p>
