Zamfara House of Assembly reconstitutes 24 standing committees

The zamfara state House of Assembly in it’s plenary session has reconstituted twenty four standing house committees and passed a resolution to state government for the construction of eastern bye pass road at Tsafe town in the state.

In its sitting today,the house unanimously has passed a resolution which called on Governor Bello Mattawale as a matter of urgency to hasten the construction of eastern Bye-pass Road in Tsafe town in order to ease traffic congestion occurred during market days.

The resolution followed a motion raised at the chamber of the house by member representing Tsafe east constituency Hon Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo who is also the Deputy speaker of the House.

Hon Musa Bawa Musa further maintained that Tsafe town, being the gateway to Zamfara state need such type of expansion along the eastern part of the town to allow for easy passage of vehicles particularly on market days period.

“The distance of the Road is approximated at four kilometers and does not require bridges or multi cells culvert therefore does not also require much money for execution”.

According to him,Tsafe town was a commercial nerve centre of the state “when the Road was constructed it will raise the economic profile of tsafe local government,state and country at large .

After the deliberations by members the speaker Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya recommended and directed the House committee on works and Transport to take up the matter to the executive for immediate implementation.

The House also considered a bill for a law to provide the establishment of Zamfara state Directorate of investment and public private partnership and other Matters connected therewith 2020 and gave it second reading.

The speaker Nasiru Magarya conclude today’s plenary sitting with adjustment of House special standing committees which saw Hon Ibrahim Tudu Tukur Bakura as the chairman House committee on Humanitarian affairs disaster management and social development a newly formed House committee.

“It was extracted from House special committee which is in consonance with the House standing rules 2012 as amended”.
