Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN Kano state chapter, Thursday held its 2021 maiden congress, our correspondent reports.
The chairman of the association, Zahradeen Saleh in his remarks said the august gathering was summoned in compliance with the provisions of SWAN statutes.

He said the staging of congress is a statutory mandate.
According to him, the state exco under his leadership will continue to lay emphasis on the training and re-training of its members.
He urged sports writers to continue to conduct their trade in compliance with best practices.
Our correspondent reports that at the congress secretariat and financial reports were tendered, further, issues bordering on the activities and recent events in the sports sector in the state were also deliberated on by attendees.
