It could be recalled that the Federal Government had recently granted 20 new private universities including MAAUN, provisional licenses to operate in Nigeria.

He said the granting of the license had fulfilled his desire and commitment to see that Nigerians, especially the youths get quality university education comparable to Europe which would enable them to compete favourably with other university graduates across the globe.

He specifically commended President Muhammadu Buhari, the Federal Executive Council and the National Universities Commission (NUC) as well as other well wishers who called him or sent congratulatory messages after granting the licence.

Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo added that the license granted by the Federal Government would give him the courage and determination to go ahead with his intention to commence the construction of some Faculties and departments at the proposed MAAUN site in Gwarzo town.

He gave the assurance that the University management would do its best to provide students with quality education as they have put in place the best facilities in addition to qualified lecturers.
