Traditional Ruler, Maikano Rabiu Is Dead

The district Head of Dawakin Tofa in Kano Nigeria Maikano Rabiu passes on .

Maikano Rabiu was once an economic adviser to former Governor of Kano State,Malam Ibrahim Shekarau.

He was appointed District Head of Dawakin Tofa when Bichi Emirate was created in Kano.

Born 23rd December 1949 Dr Abdullahi Maikano Rabiu was a veterinary doctor trained in Europe. He was member Fed House of Representatives in 1983 and Senator-elect under the defunct UNCP in 1998.

Dr. Maikano retired from active service in 2003 as AGM Corporate Banking at defunct Bank of the North and rejoined politics where he served as Special Adviser to Gov Shekarau on Economic Affairs and Private Sector Development.

He was Chairman, Kano Microfinance Banks before he was turbaned as the Dallatun Bichi District Head of Dawakin Tofa in January 2020…

In a statement by Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa said Dr Maikano died today and will be buried according to Islamic rites at gidan Hakimin in Dawakin Tofa town by 2pm.
