The chairman Kano State Independent lndpendent Electoral Commission Professor Garba Ibrahim Sheka said the People’s Democratic Party is going to participate in Kano LG elections.
Professor Sheka made the statement while answering questions from reporters after declaring open a two day training workshop for civil society on conduct of LG elections in Kano.

Professor Sheka said as far as iam concerned ,the PDP is participating in the LG elections.
When asked which faction is partaking in the elections , Professor Sheka refused to disclose the faction of the party participating in the elections.
On threat by the PDP to take legal action if the party’s let logo is included ,the chairman said court action is a normal thing when it comes to Elections.
He said polling units will be open from 8 Am and the distribution of sensitive materials have gone far.
