The Joint Action committee of Non Academic Staff Union of Universities NASU and senior staff association of Nigerian Universities SSANU , Bayero University Kano has embarked on a 3 day protest to press home their demands.
Addressing the protesters ,the Chairman SSANU Bayero University Kano chapter Dr. Haruna Aliyu said the Federal Government refused to fulfill the agreement reached with their Joint Action Action committee JAC.

Dr Haruna Aliyu said SSANU and NASU have an issue with the Integrated Personal and payroll information system in which most of their members salary are deducted without justification.
He said the inconsistency they are facing in IPPIS payment is resulting into forty percent salary deduction of their members.
Dr Haruna further decried non payment of earned allowances and inability to pay arrears of minimum wage.
According to him FG is yet to pay retirement benefits of their members
The two unions said the protest mark the beginning of a series of industrial actions to be undertaken by JAC
