Katsina State Government has stressed its
commitment to supporting irrigation farmers with farm inputs for increase production in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen by the chief press secretary to the state deputy governor, AlhajiIbrahim Musa Kallah.

The Deputy Governor Alh mannir yakubu gave the assurance while launching the sales of fertilizer for 2021 irrigation farming activities at Daberam irrigation site.
Alh mannir yakubu who is also the
commissioner of Agriculture was represented by the special Adviser to the state Governor on Agriculture, Dr Abba Yakubu Abdullahi said the
fertilizer will be sold to the farmers at the cost of four thousand naira only.
He said the state Government has providedwater pumping machines,sprayers and pesticides to the farmers for the success of their farming activities.
The Deputy Governor called on the irrigation farmers to utilize the commodities for the purpose it was given.
Earlier the chairman irrigation farmers of
Daberam Irrigation site,malam Adamu said the state government has been regular in the provision of farming
inputs to the irrigation farmers every year.
He thanked the state Government for providing the necessary materials for the irrigation farming.
Two thousand tones of fertilizer will be sold to the farmers at the irrigation sites across the state.
