Former Kano state governor and Senator currently representing Kano central, Ibrahim Shekarau has dismissed the rumored political rift riddle surrounding the top echelon of the ruling   All Progressive Congress, APC Kano chapter as the handiwork and perception of the fifth columnist.

Shekarau during a media parley session held at Tribes and Meena restaurant held on Sunday in Kano,   stressed that the relationship between his political family and the political strata of the incumbent governor  Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has neither suffered a fracture or political dislocation.

He explained that as the senator representing Kano central and a former two-term governor of the state, he still enjoys the privilege of interacting and sharing ideas with Governor Ganduje.

According to him their relationship predates  the present political era, “we have been interacting with Ganduje, when I was permanent secretary, t the Cabinet office and governor Ganduje was then a serving commissioner and till date, our relationship is cordial and healthy, we may not be together all the time, because I am most times  in Abuja.”

He explained further  that he  only differ with Kwankwaso on ideological grounds, revealing that “we did not quit PDP because of Kwankwaso, but because of the bias and illegal removal of the party leaders carried out by the party hierarchy at the expense of  our political strength and not because of former governor Kwankwaso, we are friends and still relate well.”
