Kano State Governor Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has paid a condolence visit to the former military administrator of Jigawa State, Lieutenant Colonel (rtd)Abubakar Zakariyya Maimalari over the death of his mother Hajiya Maryam Zakariyya Maimalari who was the wife of Late Brigadier Zakariyya Maimalari, former Commander of the Lagos 2nd Brigade.
Represented by his Deputy Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the Governor said “I join all Kano People in offering our deepest sympathy to you over the passing away of your mother, we are indeed saddened by this loss.
“Late Hajiya Maryam Maimalari would be remembered through her wisdom advice for the unity and development of this country, I, therefore, pray to Almighty Allah to grant her Jannatul Firdaus and gives the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss he said”.
The Governor also visited Fagge Quarters to condole the family of a former federal lawmaker, Alhaji Danlami Hamza who also died recently.
Alhaji Danlami Hamza represented Fagge Federal Constituency from 1999 to 2011 in the House Of Representatives.
Dr.Ganduje described him as a hardworking legislator who contributed immensely in formulating good laws for the country.
In a statement by Deputy Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Hassan Musa Fagge said Gawuna prayed that Almighty Allah to repose his soul and bestow strength to the bereaved family.
