The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), in Kano has assured Nigerians of adequate distribution of petroleum products across the country during the yuletide period and beyond.
The chairman of the Kano chapter of IPMAN and National Coordinator of the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADTOP), Alhaji Bashir Danmallam gave the assurance while speaking with newsmen in Kano on Sunday.

He said the association had made all contingency plans to sustain the distribution of the products to all nooks and crannies of the country in order to prevent possible scarcity during the festive period.
He said the management of NNPC had assured the association that they have enough Petroleum products to go round as they have in stock over three billion litres of fuel both in marine and inland depots.
“In consideration of the significant role petroleum products play as the engine room of the economy, IPMAN as an essential service provider would ensure adequate distribution of the product and keep all its outlets open for business during Christmas and new year festivities,” he said.
He assured Nigerians that IPMAN would support the management of NNPC to ensure steady supply and distribution of Petroleum products across the country during the festive period to avoid scarcity as promised.
“IPMAN will continue to support the NNPC and other relevant stakeholders in the downstream sector of the industry to complement government efforts in facilitating smooth and efficient supply and distribution of the products.
“As you know our Christian brothers and sisters are preparing for Christmas and of course the new year is coming. So, we will make sure there is adequate distribution of the products across the country,” Danmalam said.
He called on filling stations managers to provide face masks and sanitisers in their respective filling stations in compliance with the NCDC directives on COVID-19 protocols.
“We are calling on all filling stations managers to provide face masks, hand gloves, soap and sanitisers in compliance with the government’s directive on COVID-19 protocols,” he said.
