OGP: KCSF congratulates elected officials

Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF) congratulates newly elected Civil Society Organization’s representatives into the state steering committee and thematic leads of the Kano State Open Governance Partnership (OGP).

OGP Is an initatives championed by the executive chairman of Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado to bring together government reformers and civil society leaders to create action plans that make governments more inclusive, responsive and accountable. In the spirit of multi-stakeholder collaboration.

OGP is overseen by a Steering Committee including representatives of governments and civil society organizations.

In a statement signed by the president of the forum, Ibrahim Waiya he congratulatef the CSOs representatives, Professional bodies, Private sector and PWDs

The President urge the CSOs in Kano to continue to work in harmony with government MDAs for the development of the state and Nigeria in general, especially through the OGP platform.

According to the statement, “We wish to specifically congratulate all the incoming elected State Steering Committee members of the OGP who include: Abdulrazaq Alkali, as CSOs Co-Chair, Rabi Yusuf Gezawa, Ibrahim Garba Maryam, Halima Ben Umar, Dr. Abdulsalam Kani, Muhammed Yahaya, Abdulrahaman Abdu, Umar Saleh Anka and Hadiza Kishimi”.

“We also feel obliged to appreciate the efforts of the outgoing steering committee members for a job well done, and as well recognize their commitment in building the foundation and ensuring the smooth operations of the OGP in the last three years in Kano State.” He added

Waiya also congratulate the CSOs representatives who were equally elected as thematic Leads, these are: Comrade Haruna A. Ayagi, Access to Justice thematic Lead, Peter Hassan Tijani, Access to Information thematic Lead, Zuwaira Omar Mohammad, Citizens Engagement thematic Lead, Akibu Hamisu, Fiscal Transparency thematic Lead, Shehu Musa Gora, PWD’s Lead, Aminu Bala, Service Delivery Lead and Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, Anti-Corruption Lead.

“We wish to at this juncture specially and sincerely appreciate the Government Co – Chair in person of Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado, for his tremendous support and contribution in making the exercise a huge success, we hope this relationship between the Government and the CSOs shall continue to thrive in the interest and development of our dear State.” He concluded
