Kano -Jigawa Customs Generates Over 21 Billion Naira Revenue

The Kano Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has generated  Twenty One billion, eighteen million six hundred and twenty-one thousand four hundred and Naira Thirty thirty-four Kobo as revenue for the year 2020.

 

The area controller Kano Jigawa command SP Umar stated this while addressing Journalists at the Command Headquarters in Kano.

 

According to SP Umar who was newly posted to the command said the year 2020 has been a challenging one due to the Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged the world but despite that, the revenue generated has increased from the targeted twenty-one billion.

The area controller added that the command had also seized smuggled goods with a duty paid value of nine hundred and twenty-four millions six hundred and twenty-eight thousand four hundred and fifty-six Naira.

 

SP Umar further told newsmen that the Kano Jigawa area command has seized smuggled items that includes Foreign rice, Vegetable oil, second-hand clothes, Mosquito coil, Spaghetti, Green Tea, Tin Tomato, and condensed milk valued at Twenty three million, seven hundred and twenty-three thousand, three hundred and seventy-three Naira.
