<p>Nigeria Union of journalists Kano state council ,has appealed to Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to assent to the amended 2018 Persons With Disabilities Kano state law.</p>
<p>The chairman of the union, comrade Abbas Ibrahim made the appeal during the award ceremony organized by Sports Writers association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano state chapter in houour of Pillars Para Soccer for their outstanding performances in the past eight years.</p><div class="82HE1xrt" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>Comrade Abbas speaking at r the event held at the conference hall of Kano state sports commission noted that the team has displayed resillence even in the face of challenges physical challenges and had remained focus in achieving their set out sporting goals.</p>

<p>He said “ persons with disabilities are part of us, they require all the support needed, we are appealing to the state government to assent to the amended law and proceed to create the commission for persons with disabilities.</p>
<p>“our darling team, Pillars Para Soccer team has in the past eight years continued to bring glory to Kano, they have been consistent in victory at all major national competitions, we are appealing to the governor to assent to the law, so that they can also benefit from the largesse.” Abbas noted.</p>
<p>Abbas urged sports writers to continue to demonstrate their passion for sports reportage, noting that the blend of investigative skills, if well incorporated will help advance the cause of sports reportage in the state.</p>
<p>“sports journalism is all about passion, SWAN Kano members have continued to exercise passion, we must commend you for your efforts and commitment and do not always forget that you are part of NUJ and we will continue to work together as one family in the pen profession.”</p>
<p>In her remarks, chairperson NAWOJ, Kano state chapter, Bilkisu Ado Zango also pleaded with the state governor , Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to heighten his support for people with disabilities by assenting to the amended 2018 PWD law.</p>

<p>Zango said “governor Ganduje has a landmark of achievement for his inclusiveness strategy , we are appealing to his Excellency to assent to the PWD amended law to ensure comprehensive inclusivity of persons with disabilities, i congratulate the team for its successes.” Bilkisu said.</p>
