A delegation from Almansurat University , Cairo was in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano to seek for collaboration with the hospital in providing clinical training for nurses.
The delegates were accompanied to the hospital by the management of Emirates College of Health Sciences and Technology,Kano.
Speaking early,the Director of the school,Dr Suleiman Shuaibu said that the purposes of their visit was to intimate the management of AKTH on the approval given to Emirates College of Health Sciences and Technology by the National University Commission to commence degree program soon.

He explained that the degree program will be offered in collaboration
with Almansurat University Cairo whereby part of the training will take place in Nigeria at the Emirates College of Health Sciences and Technology being the study centre with others in Almansurat University.
Facilities and manpower for the degree program are also going to be provided by the Almansurat University, Cairo.
He added that the need to collaborate with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital as the center that provide practical training for the graduating students become necessary before the commencement of the program with a view to rob minds on the proper taking of up the program.
Commenting ,one of the delegate,Dr thamer Kazamel expressed appreciation on the roles played by the current CMD when he was the Chairman Medical Advisory committee of AKTH and the current Chairman Medical Advisory committee CMAC when on the throne of Deputy CMAC in faciliting the training of two hundred students sponsored by then Kano State Government to study in Almansurat University.
Responding,the Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano, Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe welcomed the delegates .
He said that Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital being a tietiary health Institution that has been established for the purposes of providing health care services, training health care personels and Research will do everything possible to promoting this cardinal principles.
He said that the ratio between the medical personnels and the patients they see is very alarming.
However ,draw the attention of the Emirates College to look into the the increase in the procurement / provision of specialized equipment for efficient Training and productivity.
