Kano Collaborates with CBO’S To End HIV AIDS by 2030

Kano state government stresses the need for collaborative efforts with CSOs/CBOs working in the area of HIV/AIDS in the actualisation of United Nation goals to end the epidemic by 2030.

The Director General of the State Agency for the Control of AIDS, Dr Sabitu Y. Shu’aibu Shanono made the plea during a One day town hall meeting with CSOs/CBOs to discuss their role in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the State as part of World AIDS Day commemoration held at Tahir Guest palace.

Dr Shanono said there is need to know our responsibility and to share it among us so that we solidly fight HIV/AIDS ” so the theme Global solidarity, shared responsibility”

He said another pandemic has overtaken world attention and in some areas most resources and attentions are chanelled to COVID-19 only, so we need to remember that HIV/AIDS requires similar attentions.

Sabitu Shanono said ” it is important to harmonize our thinking and thought channel all our efforts together so that at end we achieved the desired goals”.

In a statement by Aminu Bello Sani KSACA Public relations officer then urged the participants to make good use of the session and always remember the door of the Agency is open to work together with every one to achieved the goal of 95- 95- 95.
