The spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum has asked President Muhammad Buhari to resign following insecurity that has been ravaging Northern Nigeria.
Dr. Hakeem-Baba Ahmad made the plea during a Channels TV program Politics Today monitored by the Nigerian Tracker.
Dr. Hakeem said the President swore with the holy Quran to discharge his responsibility but what is obtained today is the contrary.
He said the President is six years in office and security has worsened and there is no evidence to reduce.
Careless Government on the Long Run
Dr. Hakeem Baba Said the main responsibility of the President is to protect lives and property.
According to the Northern elder, Nigeria is losing the war and people can die every day.
Dr. Hakeem said the president has no excuses, he is now five to six years in office, he would have studied the situation as a general and commander in chief of the armed forces.
Dr. Hakeem lamented how President Muhammad Buhari two years before coming to power has been asking former President Goodluck Jonathan to resign.
