A re-known foundation in Kano Safinatul Khair has renamed a famous model primary school after Late Professor Ibrahim Ayagi.
The Secretary of the organisation Alhaji Bashir Barau stated this during the ceremony that led to the renaming of the school.
According to Bashir Barau the contribution made by late Professor Ibrahim Ayagi can not be over emphasized for the whole development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.
In a remark a close friend to Professor Ibrahim Ayagi Malam Abdulkadir Mandawari said late Professor Ibrahim Ayagi was a committed intellectual and urges people to emulate his character and good work.

On his part chairman Gwale local government Khalid Ishaq Diso said honouring professor Ibrahim Ayagi came at the right time and further urged Safinatul Khair to continue identifying intellectuals like late Prof Ibrahim Ayagi.
Professor Ibrahim Ayagi was among the prominent Kano elders that died during the lockdown when Covid 19 held sway.
Late Professor Ayagi was the chairman National Economic Intelligence Committee during the 8 years administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo from 1999 to 2007
