Custom’s Strike Force Intercepts Smuggled Items Worth 24 Million Naira

The comptroller General’s Nigeria Customs Service Special strike force have intercepted smuggled items Worth over 24 Million Naira along Katsina Kano and Jigawa axis.

Briefing Journalists at the Headquarters of the Kano Jigawa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service ,Deputy Comptroller Olorukunba Ussaini said the items seized by the strike force are the ones prohibited by the federal government of Nigerian and retarding the growth of the country’s economy.

DC Olorukunba said some of the seized items are 208 bags of foreign rice in which some were packaged in a flour sacks.

Others are 208 second hand clothes ,94 cartons of foreign sphagetti and 35 Mosquito coils .

DC Olurunkoba who is currently leading the strike force in the 19 Northern states said they are always at alert to prevent smugglers and their allies from impeding on the Nigerian Economy.
