How Bandits Attack, Left PDP Chairman in Katsina Dead

Alhaji Lawal Dako, the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP, Chairman of Sabuwa local government in Katsina State passed away on Friday, the 20th of November 2020.

Alhaji Lawal Dako was hospitalized immediately after well-armed bandits attacked his native village of Labi on the 8th of November 2011.

The Peoples Democratic Party chairman according to residents and relatives says the late party leader was taken to Federal Medical center in Katsina after sustaining serious injuries on his head and leg during the attack.

Eyewitnesses told Nigerian Tracker Correspondent that during the attack late Lawal Dako’s granddaughter was killed and two of his sons were kidnapped.

Reports indicated that as at the time of filing this report the sons are still captive and one of his wives was also kidnapped that is the third wife and is still with the Bandits..

Late Lawal Dako left four wives and 17 children in which two are still captive and the third wife was kidnapped on the very day he was shot by the bandits.

The PDP Chairman in Sabuwa Late Lawal Dako died from bullet wounds after spending almost two weeks in the Hospital.

 

Sabuwa Local Government is one of the LGA’s in Katsina state that is battling with intermittent bandits attack.

 

Hardly a week or month will pass without bandits attacking a village or hamlet in Sabuwa local government area of the state.

An effort to seek the reaction of the people’s democratic party chairman of Katsina State Alhaji Salisu Yusuf Majigiri proved abortive as his phone is switched off.

 

On his part, the Police Public Relations officer Katsina state command SP Gambo Isa could not be reached to shed more light on the issue as he did not pick the call placed on him by the Nigerian Tracker
