Bauchi Assembly Suspends Sitting Over Death Of Messenger

The Bauchi State House of Assembly has suspended its today’s plenary over the loss of Mallam Isyaku Magaji, a messenger at the office of the Speaker who died yesterday after brief illness.

After suspending the plenary to tomorrow, the Speaker of the House Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman led the Honourable Members and Staff of the Assembly as well Special Adviser to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammad on State and National Assembly Matters Hon. Sani Mohammad Burra to the resident of the decease at Kandahar in Bauchi Metropolis to condole with the bereaved family.

Speaking during the condolence, the Speaker said that Baba Isyaku as he was fondly called was a gentleman and dedicated worker who hold no grudge against anyone.

“We have worked with Baba and we have all know his human quality and respect to all. You will never see him arguing or fighting with anybody. His loss is a great one not only to you his family but all of us at Bauchi State House of Assembly.” He said.

Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y Suleiman who prayed for the repose of the soul of Baba Isyaku, urged the family to take solace and pray to Almighty Allah to give them the fortitude to bear with the irreparable loss.

Responding on behalf of the family, Malam Aliyu Jibrin, a brother to the deceased, thanked the Speaker and his entourage for the visit which he said is an honour to Late Baba Isyaku and his family.

According to him, being Muslims they believe Almighty Allah Who giveth life can taketh it at any time He wishes, therefore they submits the fate that befall on them to Him.
