<p>Borno Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, a University Professor, on Thursday, paid unscheduled visits to five primary and secondary schools in Maiduguri, during which he evaluated the capacity of teachers and the learning of students.</p>
<p>Zulum was at Kushari primary school, Arabic Teachers College, Government Day Secondary School, Command Secondary school and Women day Secondary School</p>

<p>Governor Zulum, who visited the schools in the morning hours, spent most of his time monitoring teaching, and asking students some academic relevant to their levels.</p>

<p>Worried by inadequate science Teachers on ground, the governor directed the ministry of education to immediately deploy more science Teachers to the schools visited.</p>
<p>Prof. Zulum emphasized that his administration would accord special attention to science subjects in secondary schools while maintaining the quality of teaching and learning in all other subjects.</p>
<p>After all the assessment, the Governor directed the ministry of education to submit requirements of all the schools particular needs in laboratories for science subjects, library and additional toilet facilities.</p>
