Kano Apprehends 63 Traditional Medicine Vendors for Violating Rules

Not less than 63 Traditional Medicine Vendors that violates the extent rules enforced by the Ministry of Health were apprehended by the Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) task force committee within a period of one week.

It could be recalled that the Ministry of Health had recently laid down regulations in an effort to sanitize and create decency in marketing Traditional Medicines in public places.

This was made known by the PHIMA task force team leader Isa isyaku during a briefing by the committee to the Executive Secretary of the agency.

The agency is therefore appealing to all those in the traditional medicine industry, barbing/beauty saloons to come forward to the agency for registration and ensure they operate within the template of government rules and regulations to avoid further embarrassment.

The Executive Secretary, Dr. Usman Tijjani appreciates the efforts of the task force committee for a job weldone.
