National Defence College urges Northwest Communities to interface with Military to end criminality.
Deputy Commandant, National Defence College, Maj. Gen. Elias Attu who made the appeal at Special Army Super Camp 4, Faskari in Katsina State said, military can’t do it alone.
Maj. Gen. Attu explained that, the military needs non kinetic support from the communities such as vital and timely information about criminals.
He noted that, banditry, kidnapping and cattle rustling have drastically reduced in the northwest which led to resumption of Agricultural Activities in the region. Saying the relationship between Army and communities is appreciative.
While commending the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Yusuf Buratai for the concept of Special Army Super Camp, said, he acquired a lot of strategic lessons from the Operation Sahel Sanity which will be use for studies in the College.
