KNSG committed to support Farmers Access FG’s Intervention Programmes On Agriculture

Gov.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje says Kano State Government is partnering with Central Bank of Nigeria to sensitize farmers access the laudable intervention programmes initiated by the President Muhammad Buhari led-federal government in the agricultural sector.

According to him, the new policies and programmes are geared towards ensuring that the farmers harnessed the potentials endowed in agriculture.

The Governor represented by his Deputy, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna made the assertion on wednesday evening while receiving a delegation from CBN Headquarters Abuja who paid him a visit in his office.

Ganduje added…”we are proud of our farmers but with adequate sensitization they will achieve alot in production and processing.”

“We therefore appreciate the efforts and support given to our farmers, this has really enhanced the relationship between us he said”.

In his remarks, the leader of the CBN delegation who is also the Deputy Director Development Finance, Alh.Sani Muhammad Faragai said they were in Kano to honour some beneficiaries of the anchor borrowers programme with a certificate of merit at an elaborate ceremony.

In a statement by Deputy Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Hassan Musa Fagge said the State Branch Controller of the CBN office, Alh.Ali Abdulkadir expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government for its support support, assuring that the relationship with the CBN will continue to wax stronger.
