Governor Nasir Ahmad EL-Rufai has presented staff of office to the Emir of Zazzau Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli at a ceremony held in Zaria.
Governor Nasir EL-Rufai commended the people of Zazzau for rallying round behind the New Emir.
Governor EL-Rufai who took almost a month before announcing the new Emir of Zazzau due to a number of eligible contenders said the state government considered choosing Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli due to his outstanding qualities which the Emirate needed at this critical time.
According to Governor Nasir Ahmad EL-Rufai, Ahmad Bamalli inherited his grand father who was a poet Emir Alu Dansidi deposed by Europeans.
The Governor further pointed out that the Emir is a technocrat whose experience will be benefited by all and sundry even beyond the Emirate.
