Gov. Ganduje Commiserates With Sheikh Kabiru Gombe Over Mother’s Death

“The death of Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi the mother of our respected Islamic Scholar Sheikh Muhammad Kabiru Gombe reached us with all shock and sent jittery to our nerves. It is indeed a great loss not only to her family but to all of us.”

 

The above statement was made by the Governor of Kano State Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje reacting to the death  of Hajiya Fatima to her immediate family members, particularly Sheikh Gombe, whom he described as a “…great scholar of our time.”

 

He appreciated that the late Hajiya Fatima, was a mother to many, not only her blood children, “She was a mother to many whose lifestyle was exemplary and Divinely guided.”

 

“On behalf of the Kano state government and the people of Kano state, I, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the Governor of Kano state, am sending this message to condole with the Gombe state government, families, friends, and all other well-wishers of the late mother,” he said.

After praying to Allah to give them the fortitude to bear the loss, governor Ganduje said “Almighty Allah Has Done it very well for the late Hajiya Fatima. If you look at the kind of children she brought, it says a lot in understanding her uprightness, dedication to Allah and her total submission to our Lord Subhanahu Wata’ala.”

 

In a statement by Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Abba Anwar said the Governor urged those from her family and beyond to always make sure that they continue following her footsteps. “May Allah forgives all her mistakes and rewards her good deeds with Jannatul Firdaus,” he concluded.
