<p>A popular broadcast Journalist based in Kano Alhaji Nasiru Salisu Zango has appealed to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to divide Kano Twin Spears and share it between <a href="https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/368277-kano-emirates-controversy-kingmaker-who-reportedly-turbaned-late-ado-bayero-dismissed.html">Kano and the Bichi Emirates.</a></p>

<p>Nasiru Zango said Praise to Almighty Allah through Governor Ganduje who made Kano to have 5 Emirates but since one of the newly created Emirates that is the Emirate of Bichi is ruled by the sons of Dabo, its for Justice and fair play Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje divide the Twin Spears, one to be held by the present Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Adu Bayero and the other to be held by his brother and Emir of Bichi Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero.</p>

<p>The Kano Twin Spears which is held by the Emirs of Kano had originated for hundreds of years.</p>
<p>Their origin is associated with twin Emirs NATA and GAWATA who ruled Kano at the same time and seat on the throne and after their death, one of the famous Emirs of Kano Muhammadu Rumfa erected Twin Spears popularly known as Tagwayen Masu where Subsequent Emirs of Kano hold them as one of the greatest symbols.</p>

<p>Nasiru Zango appeals to Governor Ganduje to also trim the Twin Spears for NATA and GAWATA whereby one should be held by Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and the other for Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero who are Emirs of Bichi and Kano respectively.</p>
<p>On May 8 2019 governor Ganduje split Kano Emirate into five through an act of the state House of Assembly.</p>

<p>The legislation provided that Bichi should be ruled by descendants of the Dabo dynasty who are the rulers of Kano since the 1804 Jihad of Shehu Usman Danfodio</p>
