<p>&#8220;Today, in the early morning. On my way to race course for morning training, a guy and a lady, jogging on the road near lugard road, were attacked by some hoodlums, who snatched their phones at the point of knives.</p>

<p>The hoodlums, numbering five, came on a tricycle and pounced on their victims. As the victims tried to run away, the tricycle rider blocked their way, giving the other thugs chance to swiftly complete their mission and zoomed off.</p>

<p>I noticed the attack from a far when i saw some jogging women scampering for safety. When I reached the scene, the victims were seemed devastated. I stopped over and consoled them.</p>

<p>The women nearby told me that, even last week, a man was attacked by some hoodlums, who stabbed him and snatched his mobile phone at the same area.</p>
<p>This problem is becoming worse day in day out in Kano State, especially in the metropolis. Concerned authorities should be up and doing to check this menace by making sure that the perpetrators are punished accordingly.</p>
<p>The operation of commercial tricycles in Kano should be thoroughly checked, as some criminals are hiding under the guise of tricycle riders to rob people.</p>
<p>Kano state house of assembly should make robust law against this illicit act.</p>
<p>May Allah protect us and bring an end to the prevalence of social vices in our dear state and Nigeria as a whole.&#8221;</p>
