BETWEEN THE ENDSARSISTS AND THE EGO CURSE: HOW NOT TO RESPECT THE DEAD

Nobody should come here and pontificate to us about “respecting the dead” blah blah.

Yes, the dead need to rest, and peacefully too. But we also need to amplify the naivety and gullibility of the major accomplices in this unfortunate national shame. They were used for a devilish cause and realised their foolhardy very late!

#ENDSARS Protest And How To Secure The North

There’s no doubt that celebrities, NGOs, academics, senior journalists, local and international media houses and social media influencers have goofed big time on the #LekkiLies. We asked where are the massacre videos, they drop their heads and keep blabbing about trivialities.

So, why are they gagging us now in the name of respecting the dead?

Please tell me people, between the one who cheerfully led a gullible goat to the slaughterhouse and the one who helplessly watched while the goat is guillotined, who should show more respect to the dead? WHO?!

Dear goofers, I dont need to call your names here, but you know yourselves. You know, more than us your critics, that your hands are soiled with blood.

Could you put aside that ego and hold your hands up in the air as the simplest form of respect to the dead. Some of you have since eaten the humble pie. And in doing that, they have saved the little that’s left of their integrity, their credibility and their conscience.

But ego is a curse. It won’t allow you regret your actions. Nay, it won’t allow you respect the dead.

Please stop this tasteless joke. Stop barking about respecting the dead whose soul rests on your necks! Our sympathy goes to you as you continue to live with the guilt of your crime: carelessly egging on people towards their graves.

May the soul of the departed rest in peace. May Nigeria, our great country, be healed.
