The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Niger (MAAUN) Maradi, has condoled with the Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo and chairman Board of Governing Council of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Hauwa Abubakar.
Aged 51, Hajiya Hauwa died on Wednesday night, October 21, 2020 after a protracted illness.
The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by MAAUN President, Profeesor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo and made available to newsmen in Kano on Thursday.
Profesor Abubakar-Gwarzo described the death of Hajiya Hauwa as a great loss not only to her immediate family, but to the entire state.
Profesoor Adamu -Gwarzo, who, described the deceased as a mother and woman of great virtue, prayed to Allah to grant her Aljannah Firdaus and Senator Hayatu Gwarzo as well as her family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The deceased, who left behind her husband and four children, had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites in Kano.
Meanwhile, hundreds of sympathisers have continued to troop to his personal residence in Kano to condole him over the death of his wife.
