GOBA Elects New Executives,Sponsors 10 Students For UTME

The New national president of Gwale Old Boys Association (GOBA), Engr. Hassan Abdulkadir has assured the entire members of the association that they will do their best to take the school into a higher position.

 

Engr. Abdulkadir made the assertion immediately after the election which was combined with the annual general meeting of the association.

 

He stated that since he is now elected for the second term will continue from where they stopped in renovating classrooms, providing teaching materials, and a transformer was already installed in order to have enough electricity for woodwork and metalwork machines to work efficiently in the school.

 

The president maintained that the students should be self-reliant and compete with unemployment challenges after they have finished school.

Engr. Hassan registered appreciation to old students for support and cooperation they have been giving especially one from class 78 and class 72 which give 765 thousand for the general renovation of the school and mosque respectively

 

The chairman of the occasion and chairman elders committee of the GOBA, one-time permanent secretary in the state, Malam Imam Ahmad Zubair Galadanchi appreciate the achievements of the immediate past executives and hope the development will be sustained.

 

He pledged to sponsor 10 less privileged students of Gwale for university matriculation examination (UME)

 

In a statement by the National Public Relations Officer  Bashir Habib Yahaya said the elected executives are Abdullahi  Yakubu Maikudi vice president 1, Ibrahim Abdullah  Sharfadi, Vice President 2, Abdu Musa Dakata, Secretary and Abdullahi Nuhu Wali,Assistant Secretary.

 

Others are Bashir Habib Yahya, public Relations officer, Mahd Mukhtar Idris financial secretary, Mahdi Garba Magashi, Treasurer and Mannir Garba welfare officer
