AKTH Urges Public To Stop Encroaching Hospital Fence

The Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano, Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe has appealed to the Kano State Bureau for Land Management to stop the general public from encroaching on the hospital fence especially at the Southern and Western sides of the hospital.

Professor SheShe made the appeal when he led the management to Kano State Bureau on land management on a courtesy call.

He said that Aminu Teaching Hospital as an Institution has a lot of infrastructural plans for its continued development. And at the moment the proposal to establish an isolation ward and molecular laboratory was chosen to be situated at the Southern side being far away from the interior part of the hospital with a view to curtailing the spread of infections.

Professor Sheshe expressed concern about the dangers that may cause the people residing very close to these areas as the isolation ward and molecular laboratory is established.

He then applauded the Bureau Chiefs for the warm reception given to the Top Management of the hospital and pray to Almighty God to continue to guide them in the discharge of their various responsibilities and to stop the Hospital Fence encroachment.

Responding, the Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Land Management Dr. Zainab Ibrahim Braji congratulated the CMD and the Chairman Medical Advisory committee CMAC on their appointments.

She said that the people of Kano are really proud of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital because of the specialized services provided by the hospital and its level of organization.

Dr. Zainab assured the management of the hospital that the Bureau will attend to all requests forward before them within a very short time and that their door is always open to attend to the issue of land and related matters.

The Permanent Secretary early condoled the management of  AKTH over the death of Professor Abdulhamid Isa Dutse. She prayed to Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest.
