Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano has increased it’s bed capacity from seven hundred 700 to Seven hundred and thirty bed space today Monday .
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe disclosed during an official commissioning of maxillofacial Ward which has twenty bed capacity and the ten bedded extension of new Intensive Care Unit .
He said that the additional bed spaces will provide opportunity for the hospital to admit more patients in ICU and those with maxillofacial problems.

He added that,the Child Dental Care Unit is the first of it’s kind in the whole tertiary hospitals in the Northern part of Nigeria.
Speaking during the commissioning of the three service areas the former Chief Medical Director of the hospital
in a statement by Hauwwau Muhammad Abdullahi Professor Aminu Zakari Mohammed commended the management of the hospital for completing the projects within a very short time and put them into use.
He said that the service areas will as well assist in promoting training and research as part of the mandated of the teaching hospital.
