“since new leadership has emerged, the major task before you is to sustain the folk of your membership and move the association forward, I am a stakeholder in SWAN, I have followed all that happened before today and I did not thought it wise to influence anything.
“I thank your national president, Honor Sirawoo, for the interest he has shown in affairs as they unfolded in Kano and whatever transpired, now is the time to forge sports ahead, in all departments.” Galadima said.
The President Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Honor Sirawoo also charged the state SWAN leadership to continue to sustain the legacies that were created by the immediate past state exco.
Sirawoo, who was represented by the Vice President, SWAN North West Zone, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa warned the new leadership that the task of running the affairs of Kano SWAN is tedious and demanding.
“we must look back to what is happening to sports, we must begin to hold government accountable in the provision of sports infrastructure and where they have performed well, we should commend them and encourage them to do more.”
Sirawoo assured members of the association that the national leadership of the association would continue to work towards protecting the interest of its members and the sports industry at large.
