The Nigeria Customs Service has seized 5342 ATM cards concealed in a bag covered with Beans at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport .
The Comptroller of Nigeria Customs Service Kano Jigawa area Command Nasir Ahmad stated this while addressing Newsmen at the Commands Headquarters in Kano.
Nasiru Ahmad said the suspect was arrested as he attempts to board Ethiopian Airline at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with the bags containing the ATMs.
The Kano Jigawa area Command CG said apart from the over 5 thousand ATM cards, 7 pieces of Memory Cards and SD Card were also discovered in the concealed bags filled with ATMs
Nasir Ahmad added that the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service has empowered him to handover the Suspects and the ATMS to EFCC Zonal Office in Kano.
The Customs command also handed over the travel documents of the Suspect to Mr Sunusi Aliyu the Zonal Head of the EFCC in Kano.
Nasir Ahmad added that the Suspect is having a resident permit in Dubai.
He was apprehended with two hand bags popularly known in local parlance as Ghana Must Go disguising as Beans.
He was arrested on 28 September on Monday.

On his part the Head of EFCC in Kano, Sunusi Aliyu commended the Kano Jigawa Command of the NCS for a job well done and thoroughly commend them.
Mr Aliyu added that arresting a single individual carrying such huge number of ATMs raises strong suspicion and investigation will unravel what is behind the possession.
He says the EFCC will not be prejudicial in the case and the reasons why Suspect is living in Dubai.
Sunusi Aliyu affirmed that EFCC will do a thorough investigation on the matter.
Meanwhile the Nigeria Customs Service Kano Jigawa area Command says it has generated over two billion dollars as revenue for the month of August ,said the Comptroller Nasir Ahmad.
He noted that for the month of September the command have also generated 2 billion ,239 million ,214 thousand.
