Governor Godwin Obaseki won the Saturday Gubernatorialelections in Edo state.
The incumbent governor defeated APC candidate pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu with 307,955 votes against 223619 .
The Independent National Electoral Commission commissioner in Edo Professor Akpofure Rim Rukeh declared Obaseki of the PDP the winner.
The elections that returned Obaseki winner was hotly contested between Nigeria’s Top Political parties as critical stakeholders calls for free fair and credible elections.
