CITAD Supports 31 Youth with 5 million Naira to fight COVID-19

The center for Information Technology and development has supported 31 Individuals including their organizations to Fight COVID 19 with over 5 million Naira.

 

The communications officer of CITAD Ali Sabo stated this during the inauguration of the disbursing grant to the beneficiaries at the center’s Headquarters in Kano.

Ali Sabo said the grant support was from the Marc Arthur Foundation and the International Institute of education.

He said the grant was advertised in which one hundred and 20 people were trained and asked to write the proposal and those with good proposals were selected according to ALI Sabo.

 

He said the beneficiaries were sensitized by CITAD on how to go about educating their community on COVID 19 protocols.

 

The senior Communications officer added that one of the criteria followed for the selection of the first and second batch in their selection was their level of influence on social media.

 

He said the 31 selected beneficiaries got 170 thousand each to sensitize people and fight COVID-19 in their respective communities.

 

One of the beneficiaries Amina Sani Musa said she is grateful as one of them and she is going to sensitize 50 women from the hamlet of Kurna in Kano metropolis.
