For over forty years some 10 Nigerian communities are dreaming to have a single tarred Roads that links the communities to other local governments in Kano State North-Western Nigeria.

The 10 communities are located in Minjibir Local Government of Kano state.

Minjibir is one of the oldest local government in Kano Nigeria, since the creation of the state in May 1967 by the administration of General Yakubu Gowon.

One of the communities the road passed was Yaji Rana, the residents told Nigerian Tracker that the road linked the following villages that traversed Minjibir Local Government.

The way which was never tarred begins from Tsakiya Village to Yajin Rana to Wakami to Madawa to Gizawa to Duka to Gandurwawa to Damisawa to Bagurawa to Dingim all in Minjibir Local Government area.

They said since the days of an elder-statesman as the Minijbir local government chairman, the late Malam Shehu Minjibir who initiated the clay way to pass through the ten villages, no government in Kano state has ever tried to make the road a tarred one like other villages in the state.

They said from 1975 to 1976 when Late Shehu Minjibir as Local government chairman cleared the way for a road to be constructed, after that no leader of  Kano state from Late Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Rimi to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has tried to make the clay soil being paraded as a Road a modern one with an Asphalt.

According to the people of Yajin Rana who fall in the 10 communities who spoke to Nigerian Tracker on behalf of the remaining villages the road passed through, said they are even begging the government to make the Road a feeder type one.

They said if the Road is made feeder one culverts and drainages will be by the side of the road.

Malam Idi Mai Jakar hula who lives in one of the communities said if the Road is even turned into a feeder Road with culverts by its side, the difficulties they are facing during the rainy season would have been abated and will come to an end.

He said the only thing they benefitted from Kano state government linking the Road to the 10 mention towns was a bridge constructed by Malam Ibrahim Shekarau during his administration as governor of Kano state.

But it takes the 10 communities  years for the bridge to be completed by the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2017 by Kano Roads Maintenance Agency (KARMA)

The Yajin Rana inhabitants also told Nigerian Tracker correspondent that for 9 years they have not seen even a flashlight let alone stable and regular electricity.

They appeal to the government whose primary responsibility is the security and welfare of the people to look into their plights and make the way a tarred one so they can feel the impact of the government and their representatives they voted for.
