Kano Emir Urges FG To Reconstruct Dilapidated Roads

The Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has appealed to the federal government to repair  federal highways that are in dilapidated condition.

 

 

The Emir made the call at a cultural night organized in his honour by Nupe emirate during his familiarization tour to Niger state noting that the dilapidated roads are in bad shape

 

 

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero decried on the critical condition of highways as he personal experienced on his way from Abuja to Niger state said, the rehabilitation of the roads would alleviate the suffering being faced by the motorists.

According to him, the call has become imperative as it was a rider to the series of appeales being made by Etsu of Nupe land and hoped that both the federal and states government would consider it as a matter of urgency and necessity.

 

 

On the dinner, the monarch who applauded his chief host and the entire people of Nupe community for the warmth reception accorded to him and his entourage assured that the established ties between the two Emirates will remain stronger.

 

 

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who described the Etsu Nupe as his mentor and role model prayed to God Almighty to grant him long life so as to continue tapping from his vast and wealth experiences.

 

 

In his welcome address, the Etsu Nupe who doubles as a chairman of Niger state council of traditional rulers Dr Yahaya Abubakar expressed gratitude to the emir for making the visit a reality and pledged to reverse the case in the near future.

 

 

Dr Yahaya Abubakar revealed some exceptional and Sterling qualities of late Ado Bayero that paved the way for his tremendous achievements on the throne urged his successor not to leave any stone unturned in order to excel.

 

 

Highlights of the event include, traditional dancing and drumming from different groups as well as individual performance from comedians.
